1D Sod Shock Tube Test

Background on the problem

Wikipedia has ​an article on the Sod shock tube problem. It is a simulation with defined initial conditions that will evolve in a way which has a known analytic form.

Details of test

This test is run in order to verify that all the reasonable integration scheme combinations are working correctly.

Since this problem should evolve in a well-defined way, any major deviations from this evolution signal a possible bug somewhere in one or more of the integration schemes.

Results

This is determined by the state of the system at the end of the simulation having a relative error with respect to the analytic solution not being greater than XX% .
