The snowplow phase from a supernova expansion typically lasts 2 million yrs. if we use the shell speed ush ~ t-4/3 as characteristics, we can estimate the time needed for the shell to slow down from Mach = 1.5 to acoustic wave (Mach = 1). This time period is about 0.8 million yrs. Therefore one estimation of the duration of the wind in our simulation could just be 0.8 million yrs, at the end of which both accretion routines have a disk remaining.
