Meeting Update Mar 11

  • To prepare for implementing FLD, walked Jonathan through the implicit diffusion solver / subcycling codes in my latest development version of AstroBEAR. We modified some of the communication routines and how the boundary temperature and temperature derivatives are ghosted along the discussion to a more reasonable way. This may have something to do with the AMR noise we have seen in the previous testings (see earlier blog post). After the modifications, I found NaNs during testing the code. So I have been working on ensuring the correctness of the modified code. Hopefully the modified code can behave better on the ablative RT problems.
  • TSF working on making stampede to work. I was able to compile the code successfully, but unable to run the code both on development and normal queue. The error message has been attached to ​ticket 273.
